In the bleak midwinter, fight on; fight on.

For you will remember if you stayed or not.

When the others clap and cheer.

When they carry golden bobbleheads around, and half-full cups of beer.

It’s easy to stay when the sun pours over the top of the highest seats.

When the infielders begin to hit again, and the players sense no defeat.

But it’s more grand to watch and curse while watching your team fail.

When the rain flies past the awnings, and there’s still a threat of hail.
