We cannot finish this game today.

I know it’s not quite through.

We’d play a dozen innings more

If things were up to you.

But we’ve played six innings,

And another game’s beginning

Tomorrow at some time.

So today we’ll call it at 3-2

And tomorrow we’ll play nine.
